It’s time for your District Governor to nominate one Rotarian who deserves one of Rotary’s highest recognitions for humanitarian service. It’s Rotary International’s “Service Above Self” award. Read on to learn how to nominate a hero among us.

Who in District 6250 Lives “Service Above Self”?

Every Rotary club has them. They're the people who quietly show up, roll up their sleeves, and serve others without looking for recognition. Now is the time to help us identify one of those extraordinary people for Rotary International’s Service Above Self Award, one of Rotary’s highest recognitions for humanitarian service. Financial contributions are NOT a consideration. This award recognizes service, impact, and commitment to others.

Who should you nominate?

Think about someone who:

  • Consistently puts service before self.
  • Has demonstrated meaningful humanitarian service through Rotary.
  • Has made a significant difference in the lives of others or in their community.
  • Inspires others through their example and dedication to service.

And here's the challenge: As your District Governor, I can nominate only ONE person from District 6250.

So, please help me make my job really difficult!

Think beyond the obvious names. Who is the Rotarian or Rotaractor in your club who continually serves, inspires others, and makes a difference without seeking recognition?

Send me your nominations by Oct. 1, to scottryanrotarian@gmail.com. Include a brief explanation of why you believe this person exemplifies “Service Above Self.’

Let's make sure District 6250 puts forward someone truly deserving of this very special Rotary International honor.
