One of the most important investments we can make in Rotary District 6250 is an investment in the young people who will become tomorrow’s leaders. That is why I am excited to introduce two Rotarians who will help us strengthen and expand our reach through the Interact and Rotaract programs in our district.
Meet Jason Jones — District Interact Chair
I am pleased to welcome Jason Jones of the La Crosse-After Hours Rotary Club as our District 6250 Interact Chair.
Interact gives young people ages 12–18 an opportunity to develop leadership skills, serve their schools and communities, build friendships and gain a greater understanding of the world around them. Rotary International describes Interact as an important way for young people to discover the power of Service Above Self.
Jason’s passion to help our youth came from his recent attendance at RYLA. This is not unlike the passion and energy that other attendees embrace from this inspiring weekend. He will work to strengthen communication with our Interact clubs and advisors throughout District 6250. As he gathers information about our existing Interact clubs, their activities and their needs, he will also share information and opportunities with clubs throughout the district.
I encourage every Rotary club that sponsors an Interact club — and especially every Interact advisor — to connect with Jason.
If you have information about your Interact club, an upcoming project, a successful idea that other clubs could use, would like to collaborate with other clubs or simply want to make sure your club is connected with the district, please reach out to Justin:

Meet Harry Van Camp — District Rotaract Chair
I am also just as excited to welcome Harry Van Camp of the Madison South Rotary Club as our District 6250 Rotaract Chair.
Harry has an important assignment: helping us expand our reach to young adults through Rotaract and achieve — or exceed — our district goal of adding two new Rotaract clubs.
Rotaract brings together people ages 18 and older who want to develop leadership and professional skills, build relationships and make a difference through service. Rotaract clubs work alongside Rotary clubs as partners in service while developing their own activities and projects.
There are young professionals, college students, community leaders and emerging leaders in communities throughout our district who would welcome an opportunity to connect with others, build friendships, develop leadership skills and serve their communities.
We need Rotary clubs to help us find them.
If your Rotary club knows of a group of young adults who might be interested in forming a Rotaract club, if you know of an existing Rotaract club that we should be connecting with, or if you simply want to explore what it would take to start a club in your community, Harry is ready to help.
