Our dedication to peacebuilding aims for the most significant impact. Let's explore Admin Megs's involvement with ROTARY - Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP). Being a member of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo in D3850 Philippines, she proudly carries the title of Peace Ambassador 2021 Alumna.
When the Rotary Peace Activator’s Program was introduced in the Asia Pacific region, Megs participated as a Peace Ambassador presenter in a session on March 3, and as a panelist on March 22, 2022. Supported by her home club,
she successfully organized Social Peace Forums in regions such as Mindanao and Panay Island. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Megs was invited to various events including women’s empowerment talks, peace-building and conflict prevention symposiums, and team-building activities.
Embracing the Rotary Peace Academy and Rotary-IEP during the pandemic, she effectively utilized her remote working time at home. Engaging in Covid response efforts with her home club, church, and organizations like the Philippine Red Cross and Aklan Provincial Police Office (APPO) Police Advisory Group, she firmly believes in the possibility of peace. Whether through small gestures or larger endeavors, she advocates for spreading peace within homes, communities, and across the globe.
