Our District membership currently sits at exactly 2200 members, or 9 less than where we started at as of July 1, 2025. We have plenty of time to finish cleaning up our rosters and gain new membership before the end of the year. Work on using the Membership Olympic skills that you’ve learned and don’t forget to dig into the Learning Center where there are a myriad of ideas out there for recruitment and retention.
Speaking of member recruitment and retention, Rotary International has just rolled out the new prospective member management tool! They have been working on this for a number of years and will provide the opportunity for prospective members to choose the Club they wish to join as well as putting them into direct contact with the Club rather than waiting for the District to send them down to the club. This may eliminate numerous days lost of gaining those members. Here is the information that has just been received and includes a link to a learning webinar. I’d encourage and club leader to take part in this so that we can all work together to continue building AND retaining our members:
The new prospective member management system is now active and is changing how your clubs and district will connect with people who are interested in Rotary. Although district leaders will no longer be the first contact for prospective members, you remain an important part of this process: by supporting club leaders who need your assistance, sharing yourexpertise so clubs can be receptive and welcoming to people who want to engage with Rotary, and offering guidance about following up with prospective members.
