Last March 24, progress made on building a greenhouse at Northside Elementary/Coulee Montessori with help from volunteers, teachers, and community members, led by the Rotary Cub of La Crosse-After Hours. The greenhouse is 70% completed, with one more build day left. The project aims to engage students in growing plants, with support from various organizations and the students' plant sale earnings.
The Rotary Club of Baraboo expresses their gratitude to Steve Argo for discussing last month the Baraboo Veterans Memorial and its restoration with them. The club is delighted to contribute. A special thank you to the veterans for their service!

Madison South Rotary Club held an offsite meeting at McKenzie Regional Workforce Development Center. Mike Dillis introduced Michael Johnson, highlighting their friendship. The center, debt-free due to infrastructure funds and donations, has a $25M youth endowment. They help students transition to the workforce. A successful entrepreneur emerged from business plan training. Students learn various skills and trades. The center aims to continue supporting students for successful careers.
A captivating presentation was given at the Rotary Club of Eau Claire's recent meeting by Dr. Scott Hebbring, a Research Scientist specializing in Genetics at the Center for Human Genetics, Marshfield Clinic Research Institute. The presentation highlighted the importance of engaging in the All of Us Research program and the promise of precision medicine in promoting overall health.
Rotary Club of Jefferson’s Guest Speaker from their last meeting was Jefferson School District Director of Business Services, Ryan Bandt. Mr. Bandt shared information to the club regarding the upcoming Education Referendum.
Just recently, the Holmen Area Rotary Club donated $1500 to the La Crosse County Library for the "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" program. The program aims to encourage children aged 0-5 to read, with milestones rewarded with stickers. Rotary supports Basic Education and Literacy.
