Going once, twice—Sold!

Ten colorful string bracelets, made by Rotarian Justin Bodin, are a regular feature of the annual Holmen Area Rotary Club’s service auction.  His bracelets, always a sell out in the $100-$200 range, go to support Casa Hogar, a home for children in the mountains of Peru.

Justin, 35, joined Rotary in 2014 and serves as his club’s co-president.

None of this is unusual in itself, but Justin is a person with special needs. Diagnosed with cognitive disabilities, Justin has carved a niche in the Holmen community with his volunteering.

Introduced to Casa Hogar as part of a Rotary water project report, the pictures of smiling children resonated with Justin, and he’s been using the bracelets as a fundraiser ever since. Over $20,000 has been sent to the home, changing children’s lives one bracelet at a time.

Justin is the Holmen’s Club 2024 Rotarian of the Year.
