Last May, the Orphan Train Project, facilitated by the Rotary Club of Madison West Towne-Middleton, asked the orphanages it works with to submit artwork for exhibition and competition.  Sixteen homes from around the world submitted entries. Art exhibits were held at the District Conference, Middleton’s Wine Walk and St. Jerome School in Columbus. Medals were awarded based on votes of the exhibitions’ visitors and by a committee which selected several pieces for a set of greeting cards.  Pictured here are Siddhartha Kumar (in sport jacket) and the medal winners from the Niranjana Orphanage in India, the home that won the most medals. Kumar is the founder of the orphanage.
