The Bricks for Babies golf outing was held August 4th at Cedar Creek Country Club in Onalaska, bringing together area Rotary Clubs for a day of golf, dinner, auction, and raffle. This annual event supported two causes for children: tje Scott Erickson Guardian Angel Fund at the La Crosse Boys & Girls Club, and International Health Partners in Tanzania.

This year's outing raised a total of $26,100 for local and international service projects, bringing total donations since 2011 to more than $150,000! In addition, the La Crosse - Valley View Club has recently submitted a global grant request and is inviting clubs throughout the 6250 District to join them in a global project.

Interested in joining their global grant or their golf outing, reach out to them at Rotary Club of La Crosse - Valley View. Read on for more details.

The outing is a friendly team competition among area Rotary Clubs. Clubs participating in the team golf competition have been Black River Falls, La Crosse, After Hours, La Crosse East, La Crescent, and La Crosse Valley View.

All funds raised go to either The Scott Erickson Guardian Angel Fund (near) or International Health Partners (far). The Scott Erickson Guardian Angel Fund is part of the La Crosse Area Boys & Girls Club and provides uniforms, equipment, travel funds, and other support for children whose families can’t afford these items.

International Health Partners has built and opened three health care facilities in Tanzania, East Africa, and is currently building a fourth facility that will open this fall. From the August 2025 outing, the Rotary Club of La Crosse – Valley View will donate about $3,300 to the Guardian Angel Fund and about $12,800 to International Health Partners. Since 2011, over $150,000 has been donated toward these two causes.

In addition, the La Crosse – Valley View Club is submitting a global grant request that will take about $36,000 in previous donations and, through district and international matching funds, provide equipment for a complete dentistry suite in the new hospital. Other clubs supporting this effort include Black River Falls, Holmen, La Crosse, La Crosse After Hours, La Crosse East, Caledonia, MN, La Crescent, MN, and Sparta.
